NART Turns Brazilian Plant Fibres Into Contemporary Jewellery
NART – Nature Making Art explores natural material, craftsmanship and changing light in its SS27 collection, Between Lights.
NART – Nature Making Art is a Brazilian bio-jewellery brand transforming natural Buriti and banana fibres into distinctive contemporary pieces.
The materials give the work an unusual combination of lightness and sculptural presence, connecting Brazilian natural resources with artisanal craftsmanship and a contemporary approach to adornment.
Sustainability is not treated as something added to the finished object. It is embedded directly within the material language of the jewellery.
For SS27, Between Lights explores the changing quality of light throughout the day and the different ways materials respond to it.
Natural Buriti and banana fibres are placed alongside the luminosity of gold, rose gold and silver, allowing organic texture and polished finishes to enter into dialogue.
Lightweight and designed for effortless wear, the collection reflects NART’s belief that jewellery can transform even an everyday look.
Through material, simplicity and light, Between Lights proposes adornment as a small object capable of creating a significant visual shift.
NART presents Between Lights at 4pm on Sunday 20 September at Devonshire Square, London.
