Dominik Švarc Brings a New Generation of Czech Fashion to London

Prague-trained designer Dominik Švarc approaches clothing through experimentation, unconventional ideas and visual storytelling.

Dominik Švarc is part of a new generation of Czech designers developing fashion as a space for conceptual exploration.

A graduate of the Fashion Design Studio at Prague’s Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design, known as UMPRUM, Švarc presented his graduate collection Kočičí Palác in 2024. He has since featured among the emerging designers presented at We’re Next in Prague.

His earlier work includes Car Crash, developed through a collaboration between UMPRUM and Porsche and subsequently featured by Vogue CS.

Across these projects, Švarc has established an experimental, concept-led practice in which clothing becomes a vehicle for unusual ideas and visual narratives. Rather than working from a fixed commercial formula, his collections form part of an evolving design language shaped by curiosity and exploration.

His SS27 presentation at Devonshire Square brings that perspective from Prague to London, introducing an international audience to a designer emerging from one of Central Europe’s most interesting creative fashion environments.
