Vino Supraja

London, UK — 22 September 2025 — Indian designer Vino Supraja brought craftsmanship and conscience to the runway at Oxford Fashion Studio’s 10th Anniversary London Fashion Week SS26 shows on Sunday 21st September at Devonshire Square, presenting Weave: A Bhavani Tribute — a celebration of traditional Indian weaving, sustainable innovation, and human connection.

Rooted in the heritage of Bhavani, a small town in Tamil Nadu known for its centuries-old weaving traditions, the collection paid homage to the artisans who continue to preserve these craft forms today. Each piece was handwoven by local weavers on organic cotton using environmentally responsible processes, ensuring that the collection remained entirely sustainable from fibre to finish.

Vino Supraja’s designs combined traditional textures with modern silhouettes, offering a fresh dialogue between Indian heritage and global fashion. Structured jackets, fluid separates, and geometric patterns came together in a palette of earth tones and natural dyes, reflecting both the vibrancy and serenity of Indian artistry. The result was a collection that felt timeless — deeply rooted in culture yet entirely contemporary.

Beyond its aesthetic beauty, Weave: A Bhavani Tribute carried a social message of empowerment and purpose. Through her long-standing collaboration with artisan clusters, Supraja continues to provide sustainable livelihoods for Indian weavers while challenging the global fashion industry to rethink its relationship with craftsmanship and ethics.

“Vino Supraja’s work represents the heart of what we stand for — artistry with integrity,” said Tiffany Anglim, Runway Director at Oxford Fashion Studio. “Her collection was a beautiful reminder that sustainability and storytelling are not trends, but the foundation of fashion’s future.”

Presented as part of Oxford Fashion Studio’s landmark 10th anniversary season, the show stood as a tribute not just to India’s weaving legacy, but to the enduring power of design to connect communities, cultures, and generations.
