Chapel Vvein Makes a Garden’s Smallest Inhabitants Larger Than Life

East Midlands label Chapel Vvein combines fantasy, historical influence and exaggerated form in This Size of Paradise.

Founded by self-taught seamstress and designer Lily Pearl Veinia, Chapel Vvein is a UK fashion label built around the possibility of making imagined worlds wearable.

The brand grew from Veinia’s interest in vintage glamour and historical corsetry and has developed through theatrical silhouettes, experimental techniques and detailed craft.

Fashion becomes an extension of character, creating a space in which garment, art and wearer can merge.

For SS27, This Size of Paradise turns to the garden.

Across five looks, the collection celebrates what Chapel Vvein describes as the “small yet mighty”, taking plants and insects that might ordinarily be overlooked and transforming their shapes, scales and textures into fashion.

Exaggerated forms make the tiny monumental, creating a playful reversal in which some of the garden’s smallest inhabitants become its most visually commanding.

The result is a collection in which fantasy grows directly from nature, continuing Chapel Vvein’s exploration of theatricality, craft and imagined worlds.
